What relation do Bogota, Milan and Budapest have to one another? Read this incredible story for the answer.
I used to have a cosmopolita life when I lived in 6 countries over a 1-year period spending at least 1 month in each country not travelling. Although the last couple of years I seem to be settled in Budapest cosmopolitans do find us! And I love that!
Miguel was waiting for his flight to Budapest in Milan when encountered us on the internet. He sent a quick email and thanks to smart phones on a busy Saturday night full of weddings I managed to answer him and schedule a photo shoot with him and his fianceé for Monday morning.
Just to be perfectly ready for the shoot, on Sunday he quickly asked Jessica to be his partner for life.
Of course, he did that before a Cirque du Soleil show. (On a side note: People do travel far for Cirque du Soleil shows. They are from Columbia, live in Milan and flew to get engaged and watch Cirque du Soleil in Budapest. I am from Hungary, studied in the U.S., was on study abroad in Paris to watch the show of Cirque du Soleil. )
Monday came. The photographers were a surprise for the morning. It took Jessica a couple of minutes to get the point. But then it went perfectly smooth. I love people who love each other.
After getting to know each other only minor coincidences happened. It turned out that I went to the same university with the bride in Puebla, Mexico (La BUAP) although she is from Bogota and I am from little Hungary. I mean seriously can this world be any smaller?
I am pretty sure we have other mutual friends hidden at random corners of the world since my best friend from childhood got married to a Columbian and my other friends live in Milan. But I also would not be surprised if we meet in Asia on a Havasi Concert Show.
After this long introduction, please get to know Jessica y Miguel!
